At the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, some of the groundwater flowing from the mountain-side to the sea is entering into the nuclear reactor building at a rate of approximately 300 tons/day, converting into newly contaminated water. For this reason, we are implementing various measures to counter the risk of contaminated water flowing into the port of the power station and the risk of contaminated water flowing out from the storage tanks. These measures are based on our three basic policies of "REMOVE the source of water contamination", "REDIRECT fresh water from contaminated areas", and "RETAIN contaminated water from leakage".
